# Creating an Astroskin Account

## To begin, it is important to have an account to make recordings. Your account grants you access to the Astroskin App, where you can view your data in real time and sync it to the Astroskin servers using Hexoskin OneSync.

When you purchase an Astroskin kit, you'll receive an account that grants you access to all Astroskin services. This account enables you to log in to the Hexoskin OneSync software on your computer, the Astroskin mobile app, and the Astroskin Dashboard.

With your account, you can manage your preferences, update your profile information, and export raw data for further analysis via the Astroskin Dashboard. Additionally, some demographic information collected during account creation is essential for calculating metrics like energy expenditure.

If you're sharing the device with colleagues or participants in a study, you can easily create additional accounts. Simply go to the "Users" tab in the Astroskin Dashboard and select "Add a new user." This ensures that data is processed using each user's demographic information, such as age, weight, and height.
