Changing the Assignation of an Astroskin Device (AD) via the iOS Mobile Application

This article provides a step-by-step guide for changing the assignation of an Astroskin Device (AD) from one user to another using the iOS Astroskin Mobile Application.

This article focuses on changing the assignation of an Astroskin Device (AD) to another user via the iOS Astroskin Mobile Application.

Note: Device assignation can also be changed via the OneSync software as shown in this support article.

Example Scenario

In this article, we will change the assignation from user astro_test_01 to user astro_test_02.

Steps to Change AD Assignation via iOS Mobile Application

For User astro_test_01:

  1. End Recording Session
    Disconnect the AD from the Astroskin shirt to end the recording session.
  2. Log Out of the Mobile Application
    Sign out from the account astro_test_01 in the mobile app.
  3. Transfer the AD
    Hand the Astroskin Device (AD) to user astro_test_02.

For User astro_test_02:

  1. Log In to the Mobile Application
    Sign in using astro_test_02's credentials.

  2. Start a Recording Session*
    Begin a recording session while the device is still assigned to astro_test_01.

  3. Check AD Connection

    • If the AD is still connected to the mobile app, proceed to step 4.
    • If the AD is not connected, ensure to establish the Bluetooth connection before continuing.
  4. Access the Main Menu
    Open the main menu and select "Recorders."

    • If the AD is connected via Bluetooth, you will see a status message indicating that the device is "Assigned to another user."
  5. View Recorder Information
    Click on the AD to open the recorder's info page.

  6. Check Device State
    Click on the "State" button located at the bottom of the recorder's info page to change the assignation of the device to user astro_test_02.

    • You should see a message below the "State" button stating: "Recorder is not properly configured. Tap here to fix."
    • Once the AD is configured properly, a pop-up window will show the message "Success - Process complete". Click "OK" to continue.
  7. Look at the App's Main Page
    Go back to the main page of the Astroskin Mobile Application to verify that real-time data are being displayed and recorded for user astro_test_02.

* Note: To change the assignment of the AD, it must be connected to the Astroskin shirt. Please note that connecting the AD to the shirt initiates a recording session. Consequently, a brief recording session will be created for the previous user before you can change the assignment. This recording will automatically end once you update the device's assignment, and a new recording will begin for the appropriate user.
