OneSync shows "Sync Failed" or "Storing Failed"
Troubleshooting steps to resolve "Sync Failed" or "Storing Failed" errors and clear stuck recording queues in OneSync.
Symptom. OneSync reports "Sync Failed" or "Storing Failed" while transferring recordings from your device, or the same recording appears twice, both in the queue and in the Completed list.
Fixes, in order of frequency.
1. Storage folder location. If your OneSync storage folder is on OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive or a network share, move it to a local folder (for example C:\Hexoskin) in OneSync Settings. Cloud-synced folders are the most common cause.
2. Outdated OneSync. Download the latest version from hexoskin.com. Versions released before mid-2023 contain a critical storing bug, and 2025 versions fix interrupted-sync handling; always update before further troubleshooting.
3. Low disk space. Free at least 2 GB on the target drive.
4. One corrupt recording blocks the queue. Right-click the failing record and choose Skip, then let the rest of the queue finish. Report the skipped record to support so it can be restored from the device.
5. Antivirus blocking writes. Add the OneSync folder to your antivirus exclusions and retry.
6. Overlapping or duplicated records. If an interrupted sync leaves the same record in both the queue and Completed, check on your online Dashboard which copy is complete, skip the duplicate in OneSync, and send the record IDs to support so the backend copy can be validated. Do not delete recordings from the device until the Dashboard copy is confirmed.
If none of the above resolves the issue, note the exact error text and the OneSync version number (Help menu) and contact support; this allows a resolution in a single exchange.
