Care instructions for Astroskin Shirt
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity of the technical fabric and integrated sensors. To keep your Astroskin in peak condition, follow the guidelines below.
While Astroskin Shirts are machine washable, the Astroskin Device is not. Always disconnect and remove the device before washing.
1. Pre-Wash Preparation

Protect the Connector: Before washing, ensure the connector is safely tucked back into its side pocket. This prevents mechanical damage during the wash cycle.
2. Laundering Instructions

Cycle: Use the Delicate cycle with cold water.

Detergent: Use only half the recommended amount of detergent. This prevents soap residue from building up on the sensors and fabric.

No Softeners: Avoid fabric softeners. They leave a waxy film that kills the fabric's moisture-wicking capabilities.

No Bleach: Never use bleach, as it degrades the technical fibers and damages the threading.
3. Drying & Maintenance

Air Dry Only: Do not use a clothes dryer. High heat can damage the fabric elasticity and the internal electronic components. Always hang the shirt to dry.

No Ironing: Ironing can melt or damage the technical fibers. The shirt is designed to maintain its shape without pressing.
4. Proper Storage

Avoid Sealed Containers: Do not store your Astroskin in airtight plastic bins or bags. The fabric needs to breathe to prevent odors from developing. Store it in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated space.
