# Are the data timestamped?

## Hexoskin data is timestamped using Unix time, ensuring your recordings remain accurate even if you travel between time zones.

All Hexoskin data is timestamped with the correct date and time, based on Unix (POSIX) time — the number of seconds elapsed since January 1, 1970, at 00:00:00 GMT.

This means that if you travel or switch between time zones, your data will always be recorded with the proper date and time. No action is needed on your part to adjust timestamps.
