Sharing Hexoskin Device with someone else

Here's some things to keep in mind if you plan on sharing your device with someone else

A single Hexoskin Device can be used by more than one person; however, it’s important to understand how this impacts data accuracy. Several physiological metrics calculated by Hexoskin’s algorithms—such as VO₂ estimates, energy expenditure, and respiratory data—rely on individual user profile information, including age, sex, weight, and height.

To ensure accurate results and proper data organization, each user should have their own Hexoskin account. Before starting any recording session, make sure the Hexoskin Device is assigned to the correct user profile. This ensures that the data is synced to the appropriate account and reflects the correct physiological context.

The device will automatically log data under the last user profile that was signed in. If the wrong profile is used, the data may be inaccurate or appear in another user’s account. Always double-check that the correct user is selected before beginning a session.

For users who have multiple participants to manage, we recommend following the instructions in this article to set your account up with an "administrator" level account with "user" accounts linked to it: Managing multiple users for a research project
