Why should I wet or use a conductive cream on my cardiac sensors?
For optimal signal quality, it is recommended to apply a conductive cream (or a glycerin-based cream). It is essential to apply a nickel-sized amount of conductive cream on each of the cardiac electrodes to enhance the cardiac signal. Our cardiac sensors capture the electrical activity on the skin's surface. Since skin cells are known to be good resistors, it becomes challenging to accurately record any electrical activity without a conductive agent. * Please note that if you use water instead of cream, you may need to re-moisten the cardiac sensors more frequently (approximately every 1-2 hours) compared to using cream (approximately every 24 hours or whenever you remove and put on your shirt again). However, during intense physical activity, sweat can substitute for water.
